Hope Learning Trust York, is a growing multi-academy trust for both primary and secondary schools. Manor Church of England Academy is an outstanding school as part of the Trust with a reputation for academic excellence presently recruiting for an enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Studies.
As a department, the Religious Studies team are a dedicated, creative and highly successful team of 5 subject specialists; our summer 2020 results saw our full cohort entry achieve 70%+ 9-5 or higher. Across the school students have two hours of Religious Studies a week, occupying 4 full sized classrooms equipped with PC's and projectors. The team work closely with the Humanities department. There is a workroom for the team to congregate during breaks, fostering an extremely supportive and friendly atmosphere.
Members of the Religious Studies and and Humanities staff are leaders in whole school Teaching and Learning development. Our culture of sharing ideas and strategies leads to innovative and dynamic teaching across the team We also welcome ITT Students each year through the Ebor Teaching School.
The Archbishop of York Young leaders Award is a fundamental part of our Key Stage 3 curriculum which supports our school values of serving others, growing together and living life to the full.
