Wallingford School is an oversubscribed, successful 11-18 school with enthusiastic students, supportive staff and excellent facilities. We are among the most successful schools in the country for progress in English and Maths. In 2017 students achieved 77% 4+ including English and Maths at GCSE, with a Progress 8 score of 0.36. Our A Level students are consistently in the top 10% nationally for Value Added.

Science is a successful and popular subject throughout the school and standards of achievement are high. It is taught by an enthusiastic and highly committed team of teachers, ably supported by a team of technicians. The Science Department is vibrant and full of personality with an emphasis on team work and mutual support, which enables members to develop their practice and adapt to the challenges of a developing curriculum. In 2017 students at GCSE achieved 84% A*-C in Additional Science and 56% A*- A overall in Triple Science. A-level performance continues to be very high, with Biology and Physics gaining an ALPS 2 rating and Chemistry gaining an ALPS 3, placing all three departments in the top 25% of the country for progress.
