The Pingle Academy lies at the heart of the National Forest area and provides for students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. We benefit from a wide range of specialist facilities which include extensive provision for sports, a well-equipped Performing Arts Centre, a Learning Support Base, two Autism Resource Centres and a purpose built Sixth Form Centre.
As the Academy of choice for our local area, you will be part of a supported community and, most importantly, a warm and friendly environment in which to educate our young people. We offer an employee reward package, which includes car leasing discounts and our own independent travel consultant.
The culture at The Pingle Academy provides an aspirational, ambitious and creative place to learn and work. As a result of our popularity with the local community we will be expanding in order to meet demand. The number of students on roll currently is 1,050 and predicted to grow to above 1,300 in the next 3 years.
Our aim is to work with parents, carers and families to prepare children for their adult lives in a rapidly changing world. We are a truly inclusive Academy and share the responsibility for creating a safe and pleasant place to work. We are proud of our efforts to educate and care for all of our students which are reflected in our mission statement ‘A place for everyone: RESPECT ENGAGE SUCCEED’.
Sixth form students invariably gain places at the university/course/apprenticeship of their choice.
For 2018, we are planning to have iPads for staff and for Year 12 students.
We provide a broad and stimulating curriculum and set the highest standards of learning and behaviour. By doing so we encourage students to reach for these standards with confidence.
