Teacher of Science: TPS
Start: September 2018. This is a permanent post.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed and well-qualified teacher to our Science Department. Applicants should be able to teach all sciences at Key Stage 3 but have a specialism in Chemistry or Physics for Key Stage 4 and 5.
We are a “Converter Academy”, one of the first 100 Teaching Schools, a Specialist Sports, Maths and Computing College, a member of the Leading Edge Partnership and a “High Performing School.” We are over-subscribed and consistently achieve some of the highest results in Sandwell..

Wood Green Academy is a large 11-19 multicultural comprehensive school set in Wednesbury in the heart of the Black Country. The academy is located about 15km from the centre of Birmingham and has excellent national links by having the M5 and M6 nearby. It is an innovative, creative and forward-thinking school held in high regard locally and nationally. The Academy has a long-standing reputation for achieving some of the best GCSE and Post 16 results in the local area. In our most recent Ofsted of February 2020 the school was judged to be good with outstanding features. We are extremely proud of being one of a small number of secondary schools in the country to have been graded as outstanding for behaviour and attitudes under the new framework.
