Job overview

Whether you’re experienced or newly qualified, join a highly successful department with a supportive and collaborative ethos.

Here at Ninestiles we aim to create opportunities and support achievement for our students and teachers alike.  Currently we are looking for an inspiring teacher who can bring Science to life – and create a nurturing environment within which everyone can reach their full potential.

Join us and you will be part of a fantastic Science department with a strong team ethos which enables students to gain the currency to progress post 16.  We believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things as we further develop innovative teaching and learning strategies. You should be able to teach across the ability range for KS3 and KS4 and a real interest in developing teaching and learning is also important.

The department’s success is reflected throughout this ambitious and consistently oversubscribed 11-16 academy which is the lead school in the Ninestiles Academy Trust comprising Ninestiles itself, Lyndon School, Cockshut Hill School, four primary schools and Solihull Sixth Form College who joined us in August 2017. Our commitment to excellence is recognised nationally and internationally and the school achieved outstanding in all categories in its last Ofsted inspection – for the fourth time, an achievement of which the school is justly proud.  Ninestiles is a Teaching School which offers further opportunities for career development in working with other schools.

We welcome applications from NQTs and experienced teachers alike.  If you would like an application form or further details including a visit to the school, please visit our website www.ninestilesacademytrust.org.uk. Alternatively you can contact the school office on 0121 628 1311 or recruitment@ninestiles.org.uk.

Closing date Monday 21stMay at 12.00 noon. Interviews will be held later that week.

We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.  The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and we expect all applicants to share this commitment. Appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
