Required for September 2018 for this heavily over-subscribed, flourishing and successful 11 – 18 Church of England Academy, an award-winning “Outstanding School” (SIAMS 2016). This year, 79% of Year 11 pupils gained at least 5 GCSE grades A*-C including English and mathematics, and 82% of A-level students gained grades A* - C.
An enthusiastic and committed teacher is sought to teach Chemistry throughout all key stages, including A-level. The ability to also offer Biology and/or Physics to GCSE would be an advantage.
The Science Department is very successful. Almost all pupils take two or three science GCSEs and last year 76% of Year 11 students gained at least one GCSE grades A* -C. The numbers opting to study science in our outstanding sixth form continues to grow.
The school of 1000 pupils, plus a Sixth Form of 300 pupils, is attractively and conveniently situated close to the Ribble Valley and has excellent motorway connections via M65 to M6 and M62.
