We are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic full time Teacher of Science to join our over-subscribed school with a thriving Sixth Form. This post is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is committed to inspiring and motivating students through their innovative and engaging teaching with excellent support from a successful, hardworking and friendly Science department. Science is held in high regard at The Hollyfield School with a large proportion of our students taking Separate Science GCSE (with specialist teachers) and then progressing on to Science A levels.

Hollyfield is a beautiful school set in the Surbiton area of Surrey with excellent transport links to central London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:

● QTS;

● a broad base of subject knowledge;

● the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5;

● a clear vision for a knowledge-rich curriculum;

● a clear understanding of successful classroom practice and evidence based teaching;

● employ a range of teaching and learning strategies;

● the ability to work effectively as part of a curriculum team;

● the ability to maintain good classroom behaviour;

● effective interpersonal skills;

● able to demonstrate suitability to work with children and young people.
