Marshfields School seeks to appoint an ambitious, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join a school that is undergoing rapid change.
Marshfields School is a successful Y5 to Y14 Special School for students with complex learning difficulties. Small classes mean that our teachers get to know the needs of all individuals in their care and plan the curriculum accordingly.
Marshfields students are well motivated and eager to learn with excellent levels of attendance. Student outcomes are good and behaviour is outstanding.
We are a hub school for Peterborough, providing CPD and expertise in Moderate Learning Difficulties provision across the city.
The school has recently had a full refurbishment and new build which provides a range of multi-use classroom spaces.
This position would suit a primary trained teacher, a secondary teacher or a specialist SEND teacher. The substantive position is within the Science department.
The successful candidate will have a passion for education and will have the skills and abilities to engage and enthuse different types of learners. You will work productively as part of a team and be well supported in making the career transition to special education if you have previously been in mainstream.
