This is an opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Science teacher to take up a position within our team. The candidate would be joining a strong, friendly, hard-working, and supportive team. The Department takes a collaborative approach and values each individual’s skills, interests and strategies for teaching and learning. We welcome new ideas and look forward to the involvement of the person appointed in our on-going drive to raise standards even further.
At Therfield School Key Stage 3 students are taught Science as one subject with specific units on biology, chemistry, and physics topics. At Key stage 4 students follow one of two pathways: separate science GCSE’s in biology, chemistry and physics or combined science. For both pathways’ students are taught biology, chemistry, and physics as individual subjects by specialist teachers.
At Key stage 5 we offer A level’s in biology, chemistry and physics.
