Job overview

Tes is supporting the appointment of an outstanding teacher to join a highly successful and supportive Science department at a school in Surrey.

You will share their vision of achieving excellence and raising further standards of teaching and learning across the department plus developing a love of Science through discovery and practical investigations. You will be a team player with a clear understanding of current and future curriculum developments.

In the Science department they have established units of work for each year group. They strive to facilitate manageable workload by sharing planning, resources and best practice, and by ensuring that any assessment, feedback and ‘marking’ is only carried out where it is essential to the progress of their learners and never just for the sake of it.

The school is situated to the West of London with good rail and road access.

The school is a vibrant and successful school. In 2022 their students gained strong GCSE results. 81% of students gained a 4 grade or higher in English and Maths. 76.8% achieved 5 GCSEs or more graded at 4 or above.

All applicants need to have the Right to Work in the UK to be considered for the role.
