We are an oversubscribed 11-16 girls’ Academy with 975 pupils where learners are supported by an outstanding programme of personal development, guidance, a personalised curriculum and high expectations. In January 2013 Ofsted recognised us as outstanding in all areas.

We are at an exciting time in our development and an opportunity has arisen for someone to contribute towards our continuous improvement.

Fairfield High School for Girls is a non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 academy for girls, situated in Droylsden in Manchester. The school, which converted to an academy in 2011, has 981 girls on its roll. 

Fairfield High School is one of the oldest all-girls schools in the country; in was founded in 1796, when Sister Mary Tyrrell opened a small girls' boarding school. In September 2004, as part of the Specialist Schools Programme, the secondary school became a Science College.
