Job overview

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher of MFL looking to develop your career in a supportive and innovative Trust?

Outwood Grange Academies Trust aims to lead the way in languages education, both in terms of ensuring students are taught MFL in an engaging and motivational way, and in developing understanding to enable as many students as possible to leave school with a language qualification. We have a knowledge rich curriculum that allows for this and the training and support for teachers to feel confident to facilitate this for all.

In MFL there is a dedicated team of Directors who provide hands on support in schools for students and staff at all levels, and subject specific CPD to ensure that quality teaching and learning leads to outstanding outcomes for all students.

We have a great training package for NQTs and teachers new to the academy including: MFL matters, half termly twilight CPD to develop teaching and learning in MFL; weekly professional development time and further programmes free through the Outwood Institute of Education. We invest in you, so you invest in our students.

We welcome applications from teachers of any experience, who love languages and have a passion to develop this in others. You could progress quickly across our Family of Schools through language leadership or through our Deeps structure; but, if you just want to be the best MFL teacher you can be, then we are also the Trust for you!

There are multiple posts available across this region of the Trust, and you will be assigned to a specific academy. This will be discussed with you in more detail at the interview and you will be given the opportunity to express your preference(s):

• Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth

• Outwood Academy Bydales

• Outwood Academy Redcar

• Outwood Academy Acklam

• Outwood Academy Ormesby

About The Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT)

Interim Chief Executive Officer: Lee Wilson

The Outwood Grange Academies Trust was born out of the success of Outwood Grange: a large school with 2,200 students, which has achieved record results for the last decade.

As one of the highest performing Family of Schools in the North of England, we have transformed education and outcomes across a network of 40 primary and secondary academies. Working closely together and sharing best practice, our schools do whatever it takes to ensure that every child, irrespective of starting point, can realise his or her full potential and unique talents.

Whether you’re joining us as a support staff member, an ECT, in a leadership position, and everything in between, we will invest in you and your development throughout your career.

By all working together, supporting and motivating each other, we believe we can raise current standards, and transform the lives of our students. If, as a Trust, we support you to help you reach your potential, we can help ensure all the children you teach will also reach theirs.
