TEACHER OF SCIENCE
Windlesham House School is one of the country’s leading co-educational Preparatory Schools offering world-class day and boarding for school children aged from 4 to 13 years and is set in sixty-five acres of the stunning South Downs in West Sussex.
We are seeking a well-qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic teacher of Science for September 2018. We are looking for someone who can help further develop the teaching and learning of Science in a creative and innovative ways. There are three other members of the department and a number of other teachers who teach Science to younger children. There are four well-equipped, recently renovated, laboratories and a technician available five mornings a week.
The older children are taught in sets for Science, which have an average size of 15 and are never more than 20. Younger age groups are taught in mixed ability forms. We would expect the teacher appointed to teach across the ability range between National Curriculum Years 5 and 8. The person appointed must be able to teach up to Common Entrance and Scholarship level.
We are looking for a hard-working, talented and committed teacher at whatever stage in their career who can instil a love of learning in their pupils, who would enjoy the atmosphere of a friendly, forward-looking boarding school.
