Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Science. For a suitable candidate there may be the opportunity to teach A level Chemistry or Psychology.  The post is suitable for newly qualified or experienced colleagues and will initially be for a period of one year, subject to review. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established, well organised faculty team, offering courses across the full age and ability range, and which achieves excellent results at all key stages. 

The Whitby High School is a successful 11-18 secondary school with a strong focus on learning in all aspects of its work. There are 1550 students on roll, including a thriving Sixth Form. The school has extremely high aspirations for all staff and students and has a very positive attitude to change.
