Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Technology on a full-time or part-time fixed-term basis from April 2022 to cover a maternity. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful, growing secondary of 1,100 pupils housed in state of the art buildings in a semi-rural location just outside of Dartford. Rated by Ofsted as Good with Outstanding Leadership and Management, the school offers a calm and purposeful learning environment where students can flourish and succeed. In 2017, they became an International Baccalaureate World School and currently offer the IB Career-related Programme in Key Stage 5 and the IB Middle Years Programme in Key Stage 3, so that they can provide students with a truly world-class education.
The school is part of a renowned trust that will comprise 31 geographically organised academies (15 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 2,500 talented staff. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
They are an IB World School delivering IB Design & Technology, Applied General Food & Nutrition and BTEC Engineering; training will be provided to upskill the successful candidate where necessary. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience in KS4/5 Product Design and/or Catering. Students are keen to learn and succeed and appreciate their teachers’ support and dedication.
The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject and have the ability to motivate, support and enthuse students. You will join a successful, established team working in a modern, well-equipped environment.
