Position Information 

Birrong Boys High School is an in inclusive school located in Sydney's South West which values every student equally. The school is comprised of over 400 students coming from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. They bring with them a complex range of learning needs as indicated by the schools high percentage of NESB students.

Specific Selection Criteria 

1. Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE)

2. Demonstrated capacity to design and implement high quality teaching, and learning programs and assessment which engage and support students with diverse learning needs.

3. Demonstrated capacity to implement evidence based teaching practices using data to differentiate the learning needs of students with an emphasis on stage 6.

4. Well developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community.


An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
