Teaching ServiceThe Rivers Secondary College, Richmond River High Campus, located in the Lismore township, has an enrolment of 730 students, including 81 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students and is focussed on working with a diverse community to build student engagement through the implementation of quality programs, teaching and wellbeing initiatives. The Campus' vision of "inspired learning for lifelong success" is fundamental to its values of high expectations, collaboration, inclusivity and respectfulness and is the basis for continuing to build the capacity of staff in their endeavour to provide quality teaching and learning practices. The Rivers Secondary College identifies as the ‘heart of secondary education in Lismore.’ The College structure comprises of three campuses, Richmond River High, Lismore High and Kadina High with a common focus on sharing resources in order to provide improved educational outcomes for students.
Approval to teach Personal Development, Health & Physical Education (PHP), Community & Family Studies (CFS), Exploring Early Childhood (ECS) and Sport, Lifestyle & Recreation (SLR). Willingness to teach Dance (Dan) and Sports Coaching (XSC).
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of differentiated and engaging teaching and learning programs and assessment which improve learning outcomes for all students.
Willingness to contribute to the development of whole school planning, programs and initiatives as part of a focus on school improvement.
Highly developed interpersonal, communication and administration skills with the ability to work in a faculty team with a diverse range of skills and experiences.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
