Unpromoted Teacher Scale - £27,498 - £41,412 pro rata

We are seeking to recruit an additional teacher primary to support the COVID-19 Restart and Recovery Programme within St Andrew’s Primary School. This position is for 10.50 hours per week (0.3FTE) for a temporary period up to one year. 

The successful applicant will be based in a class to release an existing member of staff to undertake a range of teaching duties as required at different stages to meet the needs of the school and to compensate for any loss of learning suffered by pupils during the COVID-19 lockdown. You will be responsible for aspects of planning, assessment and reporting as directed by the Headteacher. 

Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
