Applications are sought from fully registered GTC teachers who have recent experience and interest in working with children with additional support needs, in particular children who have English as an Additional Language. The post is within the EAL team, which is part of the Renfrewshire Specialist Support Service based in Castlehead High School, Paisley.
The EAL team supports pupils who have English as an Additional Language in the pre-five, primary and secondary sector. An additional qualification in EAL support is desirable but not essential. There will be an opportunity to undertake training in supporting pupils with English as an Additional Language leading to a relevant qualification.
As the post is peripatetic, there is a requirement to travel around a number of establishments throughout Renfrewshire.
