Teaching ServiceEmmaville Central School is a small K-12 school located in a small rural and remote township/village of approximately 400 people (including surrounding district) located 42 kilometres north west of Glen Innes in Northern NSW - New England/Tablelands region. The school caters for the learning needs of approximately 73 students , including 27% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. Students come from a diverse range of socioeconomic backgrounds.
Emmaville Central School offers individualised learning in small composite class groups. Stage 6 students are able undertake studies at the school, with the majority of subjects being delivered on site. Students can access distance education for subjects not delivered locally. In senior years, academic pursuits and vocational education are growing priorities.
Approval to teach Science Years 7-12
Proven ability to differntiate the curriculum and design a range of quality teaching and learning programs and assessments to met the learning needs of a diverse student body.
Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the community with a demonstarted willingness to coordinate whole school activities.
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department of Education Aborginal Education policies.
Demonstrated capacity to organise curriculum and resources for science, including planning, programming and effective classroom management.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
