Position Information 

Model Farms High School is a large co-educational, comprehensive high school in north-western Sydney, with an enrolment of 1160 students, including 1% Aboriginal students and 40% language background other than English students. The school has an established record of excellence in academic and sporting pursuits as well as diverse programs in the areas of creative and performing arts and student leadership. 

The school includes a support unit of three classes, with two Autism Spectrum Disorder classes and a Moderate Intellectual Disability class. Model Farms High School enjoys a positive community profile based on its broad curriculum including Agriculture, highly effective wellbeing programs and wide range of extra-curricular activities. 

  
Specific Selection Criteria 
  • Approval to teach Biology, Chemistry and Science, 7 – 10.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated capacity to contribute to faculty and whole school programs and build positive relationships with students, staff and the wider community.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully integrating technology to support quality teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively to contribute to the development and delivery of innovative and differentiated teaching programs to meet the needs of all learners.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
