Teaching ServiceErina High School is a comprehensive and diverse school with an enrolment of 753 students including 62 Aboriginal students who are supported within a broad, flexible and innovative pattern of study balanced with a range of co-curricular programs in the sporting, performing and cultural arenas. The School has a strong focus on quality teaching and learning underpinned by a highly supportive commitment to student wellbeing. Erina High School is actively addressing the changes to the educational landscape to provide innovative learning practices that foster quality student outcomes. In 2021 Erina High School has established a new special education unit consisting of three multi-categorical classes.
Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with Autism, mild intellectual disabilities, behaviour difficulties and emotional disturbances.
Quality and innovative classroom practice fostering high expectations through the development and delivery of enriched, differentiated and individualised learning programs with a focus on the general capabilities, information communication technology and Aboriginal education.
Demonstrated ability to build and contribute to a positive school culture and school-wide wellbeing practices with a capacity to support inclusion, integration and connectedness.
Highly developed management and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in positive partnership with students, staff, families and the wider community to promote lifelong learning opportunities and to improve outcomes for all students with additional learning and support needs.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
