Position Information 

Chester Hill High School (CHHS) is a comprehensive, co–educational secondary school situated in south western Sydney and is part of the Auburn Schools Educational Network. The school encompasses an Intensive English Centre. Chester Hill High School has a current student enrolment of 1377 (1215 mainstream, 162 IEC). The school is culturally diverse with 93% of students possessing a language background other than English. Chester Hill High School has 117 refugee or refugee–like students and a growing number of students with an Aboriginal background. The FOEI of the school is 165.  All students are encouraged to achieve in an environment that provides academic challenge and artistic, cultural and sporting opportunities. Strong parental and community partnerships are a feature of the school.

  
Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach Design and Technology , Industrial Technology - Timber and Engineering St/Ind Tech-Engineering.

Approval to teach or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Construction-General providing the qualification entry benchmark is met.

Demonstrated capacity to deliver engaging and innovative learning experiences and develop quality teaching and learning programs.

Evidence of effective classroom practice catering for students with a diverse range of learning needs. 

Capacity to integrate technology into effective and innovative classroom practice. 

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
