Position Information 

Killarney Heights High School is a comprehensive co-educational school with a population of 950 students, 46% EALD, located 20 minutes from the Sydney CBD in a bushland setting near the northern beaches of Sydney. Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach Engineering and Industrial Technology Timber with proven success in the classroom using explicit teaching practices.

We are currently seeking an innovative and experienced teacher with subject expertise in Engineering and Software Design with willingness to teach Industrial Technology Timber to join our dynamic TAS Faculty. The successful candidate must demonstrate commitment to excellence and maintain high expectations within the classroom, delivering challenging and engaging lessons and using effective assessment practices to promote student achievement.

Demonstrated ability to deliver rigorous programs, which effectively assess student progress, provide quality feedback and differentiate to meet the needs of all students.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to build strong working relationships with staff, students, parents and the wider school community.

Capacity to implement whole school Positive Behaviour for Engaged Learning framework to consistently to manage student wellbeing and behaviour.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
