Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following position: TEACHER

Full time or  part time temporary position for 2021 school year.


Applicants must:

• have a current NSW Working with Children Check.

• NESA Accreditation.

• a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.


Criteria

• a commitment to excellence as a classroom teacher.

• willing to teach any class level from k-6.

• able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community.

• understanding of contemporary pedagogy and the ability to differentiate and provide for a diverse range of ability.

• effective classroom practice that fosters independent learners.

• willingness to contribute positively as part of a professional learning community.

• ability to creatively use ict to enhance a rich learning environment.

• a commitment to the requirements of the diocese work teach and lead document.

St Joseph's Primary School is a co-edcucational Catholic primary school catering to students from kindergarten to Year 6. The school was founded by the Sisters of St Joseph in 1928 and is located in Wauchope in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales.

Curriculum

St Joseph’s provides a comprehensive curriculum adhering the Board of Studies and Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) syllabuses for Primary Education. The Key Learning Areas are English, mathematics, science and technology, HSIE, creative arts and PDHPE. Religious education is an integral part of the curriculum and St Joseph’s implement the curriculum requirements used in the Lismore, Sydney, Armidale and Wollongong Dioceses. Learning is a personalised and collaborative experience that incorporates 21st-century teaching.
