Term Time Only –  3 days per week 

18 hours per week as follows:

TA2 at 15 hours per week

PLUS

Midday Supervisor responsibilities at 3 hours per week

39 weeks worked per year

46 (TA) & 44.65 (MSA) weeks paid per year

(FTE Grade 1/SSP2 £17,842 to Grade 3/SSP7 £18,562)

Pro-rata salary starting from £7,895 p.a.

College Central Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea, is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant (with midday supervisor responsibilities), on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2022, into the Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 departments to support various programmes for anxious and vulnerable pupils. 

The main responsibility of the post will be to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum, both by directly working with pupils and assisting in preparation of resources.  We are seeking applicants who are innovative, enthusiastic and flexible and have a keen interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures.  Applicants should also be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young pupils.

The successful candidate will be joining a Trust and school that continues to be ambitious in its drive to improve outcomes for our pupils. The working pattern will be Wednesday to Friday, from at least 8.30am –3.30pm, term time only.  We are a friendly and supportive team, with additional benefits, such as free daily lunch.
