Outwood Primary Academy Darfield is seeking a Teaching Assistant and Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their academy.

The working pattern for this position will require the successful candidate to work as a TA during the morning periods, by supporting the teaching and learning of Maths and English, under the direction of teaching staff. Then during the afternoon, you will work as a HLTA, by working collaboratively with teaching staff to assist teachers in the whole planning cycle and management of the class.

Outwood Primary Academy Darfield is located in the outskirts of Barnsley. Our school is an important part of the community and we have a strong ethos of care and nurture, we believe all children have a talent and children leave the academy with a clear sense of what that talent is and how they need to further develop that talent to succeed in the wider world.

In line with the Government’s announcement, our academy is closed until further notice. However, we are still busily planning ahead for the forthcoming academic year and are excited about welcoming new recruits to come and join us. In place of academy-based interviews, we have set up systems to ensure that alternative options are still available via skype/video conferencing wherever possible. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate any specific requirements so that no-one is at a disadvantage.

Understandably, visits to the school are not possible at present, however we are really keen to ensure that you have as much information to proceed with your application as possible, so if you would like a conversation about either the academy or the position please contact Debbie Bartholomew at d.bartholomew@outwood.com who will be happy to assist.

When completing your application, please give due regard to the attached Job Description and Person Specification.

For more information and to apply online, please go to: www.outwood.com > Careers.

Closing date: Midday on 5 June 2020.
