Days Lane Primary School is a popular over-subscribed standalone academy with an inclusive, caring and stimulating learning environment. We offer high standards in education and have wonderful children, dedicated staff and strong partnerships with parents/carers. We believe in developing pupils with the skills to be great learners through a broad, balanced and creative curriculum. 


We are looking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant for 25 hours per week to support as a general teaching assistant in class. The job role will also include being responsible for the safety and welfare of children during the lunch hour and to deliver whole class teaching during the teachers’ planning time (PPA) in EYFS/KS1, and when required across the school. The successful candidate will demonstrate a professional attitude, a real desire to put children’s needs first and the ability to work well in a team. The working pattern will be 5 days per week, starting at 8:15am and finishing at 1:15pm.

The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
