Christow Primary School is a very special place to work. We are looking to appoint a full-time teaching assistant to join our team to support pupils across the school. Full training will be provided.


We are seeking a teaching assistant that:

  • Has excellent communication skills leading to effective relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
  • Is committed to raising standards for young people
  • Has a personal philosophy which supports the ethos and values of the school
  • Has the ability to support rich and creative learning experiences
  • Has the ability to support maths/literacy.
  • Will be committed to supporting children to make good progress within their curriculum and inspire and motivate children and enable them to be the best that they can be
  • Is kind, patient, enthusiastic and compassionate with a lively, fun outlook and a curious and creative mind.

Our school is set in its own grounds in the heart of Christow, a village in the Teign Valley, which lies on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Currently, we have over eighty children on roll.
