Dagenham Park Church of England Secondary School would like you to consider applying for a post as a teaching assistant. In this role you will:

• Support young people with SEND with their learning in and out of the classroom • Work with teaching staff to ensure that young people with SEND are included in all school activities 

• Provide personal care for students with physical disabilities 

• Receive training and support to develop and progress your career in education 

• Be a positive role model for all students and have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of school life

• Be a valued staff member at Dagenham Park Church England School 

For teaching assistants, the school day begins at 8:30 and finishes at 3:00. We moved into our state of the art building in 2012. The school is located within easy reach of central London via the District Line and easily accessible via the A13.  

We have free parking available too.  Dagenham Park Church of England School is rich in diversity and dedicated to inclusive learning for all. There is access to a free ym on site, as well as café facilities for staff.   

Dagenham Park is a mixed, multi-ethnic 11-18 multi-cultural Voluntary Controlled Church of England school. We moved into a brand new building with excellent teaching facilities in April 2012.  The school has recently been subject to a highly successful Ofsted inspection. As of the most recent inspection, there were 1,394 students on the school roll, of which 164 were in sixth form. The nearest London Underground station is Dagenham Heathway on the District Line.

  • Progress 8 score is above the national average at 0.18.
  • Students achieving a Grade 4 and above in English and Mathematics is 52% .
  • The English Department achieved a Progress 8 score of 0.9 in 2016 placing them in the top 1% in the country.
  • Results in Languages were placed in the top 20% of schools for progress.
  • 34% of students achieved the English Baccalaureate.

Dagenham Park Church of England School was last inspected on 21st January 2020 in which the school received an a report and rating - GOOD.

Dagenham Park Church of England School continues to be a good school.

Leaders have reviewed what they want pupils to learn and when they want them to learn  it in all subject areas. This means that learning is planned and sequenced so that pupils  can remember more and develop their skills. Leaders’ actions mean that pupils achieve  well at this school. Teachers check that pupils can recall previous lessons through ‘do  now’ activities. Teachers implement leaders’ plans well. Pupils’ books include good-quality  work and show how the pupils are learning the planned subject content. Teachers and  pupils assess the work in books and pupils correct their mistakes and misunderstandings
