Allestree Woodlands School is an extremely successful, oversubscribed 11-18 school, providing high quality education for 1346 students (262 Post-16). The school is situated on the northern edge of Derby City overlooking ‘Green Belt’ areas.
We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to start in October 2018. The Enhanced Learning Faculty is successful in assisting students with a range of special educational needs throughout the school. Students include those with general learning difficulties, Asperger’s syndrome, dyslexia, dyspraxia and social, emotional difficulties.
We are looking for someone who is talented, dynamic and ambitious and who is able to inspire, be innovative and set high standards of assisting students. The successful applicant will join a very committed, collaborative, forward thinking and highly successful team and deliver quality intervention lessons.
Candidates must have at least 2 years experience working with students with additional needs, ASD experience preferred. The school offers a very personal and professionally supportive environment.
