SEN Support Assistant  Monday-Friday- 8.45am-3.30pm  Commencing September 2018 

We have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant with experience and knowledge of working with KS1 & KS2 children with autism and language and communication needs. The successful candidate will work within the Holway Park ASD Base (KS1-KS2 autism resource base) and primary school.  We are looking for someone who is a reflective practitioner who will contribute to the wider life of the school supporting with other duties when needs arise.  Ideally you will have: • Experience of working with KS1 & KS2 pupils with ASC/Language and Communication needs in a specialist setting. • Have a calm, positive attitude and be a clear, confident communicator. • Be able to build and develop trusting, professional relationships with pupils, parents/carers and staff. • A good level of English and Mathematics. Other qualifications such as a NVQ level 3 would be an advantage • A positive attitude firmly believing that every child can be successful in learning  

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated SEN team in the development of this new provision at our inclusive school.  Grade 14 or 15 dependent on experience 38 weeks and 1 day per academic year  Including holiday pay the actual pro rata salary will start at: Grade 15 point  9 -  £11,772 gross per annum or Grade 14 point 13 - £12,216 gross per annum
