Job Title: Teaching Assistant (FS/KS1)

Salary: Bucks Pay Range 1B to 2  (Pro rata: £17,383- £22,316) 44.1 weeks per year plus 5 training days

Actual salary: £12,949.16 to £16,623.91

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday 8:30 – 15:30 with half an hour unpaid lunch)

Contract Type: Permanent (all support staff have a 6 month probationary period)

Starting date: 1st September 2021

Reporting To: Head of Academy

Responsible For: Pupil learning and welfare

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint 3 Teaching Assistants to join our team at Kingsbrook View Primary Academy, a brand-new academy opening in September 2021.

This role requires you to have a suitable standard of English and Maths, as well as a strong grasp of spoken English. Success candidates will be required to engage in the statutory training needed for this post.

Key responsibilities include (see job description for further details):

• Supporting learning (whole class, small groups and 1 to 1) in and outside of class

• Supporting ALL groups of pupils, including the most able and those with additional needs

• Working effectively and efficiently alongside class teachers

• Ensuring pupils’ understanding of instructions and how to succeed in the task 

• Helping children to develop both socially, emotionally and academically

• Helping children to succeed in being resilience and independent learners

• Managing behaviour and routines, setting positive and consistent boundaries

• Supervising children at lunchtime and carrying out medical duties
