OUR SCHOOL
The BCAT Trust consists of 3 schools: Barton Court Grammar School, an 11-18 years co-educational grammar school in the heart of Canterbury; The Charles Dickens School, an 11-16 years co-educational non-selective school in Broadstairs and opening in 2022 a Free School, Barton Manor School, an 11-18 years co-educational non-selective school co-sited with Barton Court Grammar School.

The Post
The School requires Teaching Assistants for an immediate start to support a number of SEND students joining us in Year 7. This role is suitable for someone who wishes to pursue a career in teaching and wishes to gain further experience in the workplace or someone who enjoys enabling students to learn and wants to play an integral role in supporting teaching and learning in a school thereby raising the standard of achievement for all students.
Candidates must be excellent communicators, motivated, able to work independently and have good ICT skills. You will be liaising with teachers regarding planning and differentiation of work, support the provision plans of students with EHCP's and in particular those with High Needs Funding. At least 2 years' experience of working closely with SEND students is required.
Hours of work are 08.40am-15.10 Mon-Fri. These hours include a 20 minute break and a 40 minute unpaid lunch break. This is a term time only post + 1 Staff Development Day.
These roles are fixed term contracts and based on a one year contract.
BCAT Range 3 - £19,293 per annum (pro rata to £12,134 per annum)
