Here at Kingston College, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join us, and support and mentor adult learners studying a range of programmes across the Commercial Industries & Access School. This will include Access to HE programmes, Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy and Early Years and Counselling.

As our Teaching Assistant, you will support learners to access the curriculum, providing a mix of in class support, 1-1 support and assignment workshop support to ensure the successful completion of their qualifications. It could be that you help them develop their skills in report writing, essay writing, understanding, time management, reading or writing.

We’re looking for someone who is educated to GCSE / Level 2 (or equivalent) with grades A*-C in English and Maths and who has experience of working successfully with young people or adults in a supporting / mentoring role. We’d like you to have a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and Codes of Practice such as SEND and safeguarding and have good administrative skills sufficient to keep high quality written records of learners’ smart targets based on the Individual Learning Plan.

This is a permanent, full time position for 36 hours per week (Term Time Only). This role requires a flexible working pattern that includes some evening work.
