We are looking to appoint a confident and highly motivated Teaching Assistant for KS1/KS2 to join our school team. Working 30 hours per week (8.30am - 3.30pm).  You will also be required to work 2.5 hours per week as a Midday Supervisor.  Please specify your preference of the key stage that you are applying for on the application form.

You must be able to work in partnership with the class teacher to support identified pupils and groups of pupils including those with SEND.   Your role will be to manage children’s behaviour and engage with them in lessons.  You must be able to deliver and track performance of pupils in specified groups when taking intervention groups to help improve progress. You must also be committed to raise standards and achievement and the learning potential of our pupils. 

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers.  Normandy Primary School therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.

Further vetting checks, in line with the requirements of Keeping Children Safe in Education 2020 will be completed following a provisional offer of appointment.
