The Governors of this over-subscribed Roman Catholic Girls’ School wish to appoint a talented, highly skilled individual to work in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team to support pupils in the classroom alongside subject teachers, to ensure that pupils with SEND gain full access to the curriculum and make excellent progress. The postholder will have opportunity to create resources and will be keyworker to specific students. The LSA will undertake break/lunch-time supervision as required.  This post would suit an individual who wishes to pursue a career in teaching, SEND departments, psychology or social work. 

Applicants will have either a good honours degree or excellent level 3 qualifications (e.g. BTEC L3 or A levels) along with previous experience of working in an educational, special needs, or youth-focused environment. 

La Sainte Union is an oversubscribed and successful voluntary aided Catholic girls’ school (mixed 6th form) that enjoys the benefit of splendid grounds and is situated in a pleasant residential area overlooking Parliament Hill Fields.  It is easily accessible by public transport.

Informal visits are welcomed by prior appointment with the Headteacher.
