The SABDEN Multi Academy Trust is currently comprised of four schools, providing high quality provision to the most vulnerable children and young people across East Sussex. Cuckmere House, New Horizons and St Mary’s cater for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs). College Central is an Alternative Provision Pupil Referral Unit. Our pupils have a range of social, emotional and mental health needs and barriers to accessing mainstream education. Our schools Ofsted ratings range from ‘Outstanding’ to ‘Good’ and we are ambitious in our drive to improve outcomes for all pupils. 

As a Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor, the main responsibility of the position will be to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum, both by directly working with pupils and assisting in preparation of resources. Applicants should be innovative, enthusiastic and flexible and have an interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young pupils.

If successful, you will become part of a very committed and hardworking team. While some experience of working with vulnerable young people is preferable it is not essential.  We will provide you with high quality training and support.
