Farnborough Spencer Academy is an exciting place to be and through our core values of achieve, believe, commit we develop the young people we work with to be able to ‘Do The Right Thing’ and flourish into respectable and highly functioning members of society.  We make no apology for having high expectations of all.  Our standards are built around a simple set of guiding principles referred to as ‘The Farnborough Way.’  These principles are the key to developing positive relationships within our community and between the academy and the wider community in Clifton and Nottingham.

Our Academy ethos is summed up in our Academy and student pledges:

The staff of the Academy make this pledge to our students and families:

  • We believe in your right to receive a first-class education.
  • We show pride in our academy community by valuing everyone for who they are.
  • We recognise and nurture your talents and abilities, supporting you to achieve in all that you do.
  • We have consistently high expectations of our whole academy community.
  • We create an environment where all feel safe, secure and supported.
  • We want your eyes opened to life’s opportunities so that you aim high.

Our staff work collaboratively with students and their parents to develop positive relationships, spark imaginations and encourage and enthuse the young people we educate to be the very best version of themselves.  Whilst there is a strong emphasis on academic achievement, students are given the support and guidance to develop as individuals, and we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities outside the classroom.

We require a creative, inspirational and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team.
