Job overview

Vision for Education are working on behalf of a school in Sunderland to recruit x3 Teaching Assistants to work within their SEND provision providing support to some of the local authorities most vulnerable children. 

There are opportunities for staff to work on a full time and part time basis, so all applicants are welcome. School hours are 8.30am-4.00pm. 

You will be required to work alongside other members of staff to encourage and support the needs of the class, implementing personalised strategies to best support the development and learning of each young person. 

An ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience of working with children, young people and adults who have Autism and complex needs
  • Experience of carrying out personal care, or be willing to carry out personal care as and when required
  • A Flexible approach to working
  • A friendly, positive and understanding attitude towards children an young people with complex needs
