Salary: Scale 4/5, Actual Salary: £18,184 to £20,973 per annum (FTE £22,992 to £26,519 per annum)  

Hours: 33.25 hours per week term time only

Carew Academy is an Outstanding school, for pupils between the ages of 7 and 19 who have moderate learning difficulties or a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are looking for someone with drive, creativity, and a passion for supporting young people to achieve their best. Your background is not important; what is important is that you have high expectations, love a challenge and have a determination to make a difference to the lives of our superb students. You also need to be resilient to work with students who may display challenging behaviour at times.

Our curriculum is really different too – our younger students have enrichment activities which include Rock Climbing, Swimming, Horse Riding, and a huge range of other sports. All our Upper School students take Option Subjects to enrich their learning.  We have also just started delivering A-Level Photography and Art in our Sixth Form.
