Job Details: Teaching Assistant 

Salary: SCP 8 - 12 (subject to job evaluation)

£20,493 - £22,183 (FTE, salary to be pro rata)

Contract: Full Time (35 hours / 39 weeks)

Term: Fixed Term Contract until 31/8/21

Academy: The Grangefield Academy, Stockton

The Grangefield Academy is part of Northern Education Trust, a DFE approved charity that sponsors academies to ensure that students achieve their full potential. The Trust sponsors 21 academies; 10 secondary and 11 primaries across the North of England in eleven local authority regions and we are now seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant.

Trustees are committed to working with local authorities, other agencies and key industry stakeholders to improve the lives and life chances of young people. We want to give our students the opportunity to be economically self-reliant and have the ability to choose their own pathways to success.

We are seeking to appoint an excellent practitioner with a passion for learning and developing a child’s talents whilst meeting their needs through a range of strategies that can support their inclusion. Working within a team, the successful candidate will be energetic and determined, empathetic but assertive. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the use of ICT and practical activities to enhance learning and will be fully committed to helping students achieve high standards of academic success.
