32.5 Hours Per Week
Term Time + 1 Week (5 School INSET days) – 39 weeks per annum
APT & C 3/4 (scale points 14-21)
We are looking for an additional member of our strong SEN Team that is committed to providing the best quality support for students with special educational needs. In this post you will work with individuals and small groups to provide high quality learning support to students.
Overton Grange is a popular comprehensive school, with around 1300 students on roll and has enjoyed consistent academic success; rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2016. We have recently started working in partnership with the University of Brighton Academies Trust. The school is fully committed to inclusion and has a Hearing Support Department.
The school is committed to the CPD of its staff; ‘Staff speak highly of the support and mentoring they receive. Middle leaders participate in a range of professional courses. They share good practice and support each other well to develop strong professional links. About Overton Grange School
Based in Sutton, Surrey, Overton Grange School is a secondary school for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 18. It is a non-denominational establishment. The school currently educated around 1,250 pupils. In June 2011, the school gained academy status. Overton Grange works closely with other schools within the community.

A wide range of extracurricular activities allows pupils to explore diversity. This develops their spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding. Pupils’ attendance is good. They generally behave well and are supportive towards each other. This enables all pupils, including those accessing the hearing impairment resource, to be included well in academy life. Safeguarding is effective. Leaders and governors undertake appropriate and careful checks on staff, and record information well. Staff undertake regular and effective safeguarding training.”
