Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our successful supply team and work across friendly primary schools in Durham. The post will commence in September 2021, with a vision for a permanent position in a school post December. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.


The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are Level 2 TA qualification and experience with both 1:1 tuition and SEND children would be beneficial.


The role


Working as part of a dynamic and creative team in a primary school you will be providing general classroom support, 1:1 tuition and helping in small groups. Previous experience supporting SEND children and delivering Read Write Inc is beneficial. This post would suit a patient, caring and calm individual with a passion for supporting young children across KS1 and KS2.


Requirements


To be considered for the Teaching Assistant (TA) position, you will:


Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Childcare.

Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.

Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

Ideally have experience delivering Literacy and Maths interventions.

Have experience in delivering 1:1 support and small group support.
