Grade:   TSPT 3 points 9-11

Salary:     FTE Salary:  £20,754 - £21,344 pa

Actual Salary:  £12,346-£12,697

Start date: 1st September 2022


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work alongside and enable pupils, who needs a high level of support to access the curriculum.

You must be willing to undergo relevant training and are expected to participate in whole staff training.  

The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support to meet the needs of the pupil in line with their Education, Health and Care Plan. 

Ideally they will be able to show the following skills and attributes;

• A variety of communication skills and flexibility to respond to the needs of the child and work within staff teams 

• Use initiative and creativity to plan, deliver and monitor work

• Empathy and understanding of children's individual learning abilities

• Patience and a good sense of humour

• Ideally have had experience of supporting children on the autistic spectrum, with speech language and communication difficulties, with challenging behaviour and of removing barriers to learning across the curriculum
