We are seeking to appoint a Technician who will provide technical and practical support to our Art, Textiles and Food Technology department.  With a wide range of responsibilities such as preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintaining and monitoring consumables and equipment, and co-ordinating and championing Health & Safety, the successful candidate must be able to work in an administrative, as well as a creative capacity.  Applications are sought from candidates who have a good working knowledge of Food Safety Standards, COSHH and Health & Safety regulations, and who can demonstrate a good working knowledge of IT (specifically Microsoft Office 365).  The successful candidate will be expected to undertake first aid training and sewing machine servicing training, and are expected to maintain their qualifications.

The hours for this vacancy are 32.5 per week/39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 inset/additional days), and are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm.
