Starts Monday 11 November 2019 until the end of the 2019 school year


Applicants must:

  • dedicated and passionate in providing exceptional teaching to the children of Casino and to work collaboratively in professional learning teams;

  • demonstrate highly effective classroom management and the ability to follow whole school process’ in learning and behaviour;
  • have a positive attitude, deep love of children, sense of humour and a willingness to share your talents;
  • actively promote our school in words and actions;
  • involve yourself and embrace fully with our parents, parish and Casino community.

About St Mary’s Primary School CASINO

St Mary's Primary School is an independent, co-educational Catholic school in Casino, New South Wales. The school caters for students in Kindergarten to Year 6 and is managed by the Lismore Catholic Schools Office. 

For over a century the school has provided education to children from all around the Richmond Valley area.

The school has a well-resourced library, classroom technology including laptops, outdoor play areas, sporting equipment and a school chapel.

Curriculum

The teaching and learning at St Mary’s is based on the NSW Syllabus. The curriculum is divided into the seven Key Learning Areas of Maths, English, Science and Technology, Creative Arts, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education, Human Society and Its Environment.

Students participate in the Making Jesus Real (MJR) programme which is designed to foster a relationship with Jesus that is real to the students and relevant to their daily lives. MJR is centred around the belief that we are the image of Jesus to all people around us.

Extra-curricular activities include community based programmes such as ‘Acts of Mercy’ This involved assisting the elderly, washing windows for businesses in town, a free carwash for the community and assisting at the local preschools.

St Mary's vision is to create ‘a loving atmosphere expressed through hope, trust, forgiveness and acceptance, whilst providing for the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, social and physical development of each child. The six points in its mission statement includes ‘Promoting the development of the whole human person spiritually, culturally, emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically.’
