Temporary Cover Supervisor 

To start as soon as possible until the end of the summer term (20th July 2018)

37 hrs per week x 43 weeks per year

£19,097 - £21,455 per annum pro rata

Sheffield UTC City Centre is currently looking to recruit a suitably qualified Cover Supervisor  

As Cover Supervisor you will be expected to supervise classes across the curriculum and project time when there are planned / unplanned absences of staff members, ensuring that students are engage in pre-set work, managing student behaviour to ensure a safe learning environment.

In addition your duties will include supervising students at lunch-time and during the UTC day in the canteen / around the building, undertaking sporting activities on the MUGA and enrichment activities in the Multi-Purpose Space / Multi Use Games Area. 

Experience of facilitating learning / working with students in a formal setting without supervision and covering for colleagues is essential along with a level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) including level 2 maths and English.

A sport coaching qualification / experience of coaching teams is desirable. 

Experience of the creation and maintenance of curriculum resources and creation of visual displays in order to ensure a relevant physical learning environment is also essential.

Welcome to Sheffield UTC's TES page!

UTC Sheffield City Centre is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational University Technical College situated in Sheffield. This sponsor-led academy is part of The Sheffield UTC Academy Trust, alongside its sister institution, UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. UTC Derby Pride Park joined the Trust in December 2019.  All 3 UTCs have been judged Good by Ofssted.

University Technical Colleges are secondary schools for students aged 13–19. They combine technical, practical and academic learning to deliver an education that goes beyond traditional GCSEs and A-levels.

A smaller than average secondary school, UTC Sheffield will provide 600 places for students when fully subscribed. It opened as a new provision in 2013.
