Job overview
Required for September we are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join our team in our brand new school building. One post will be based in the Science department and one will be non subject specific.
The successful candidates will provide general whole class support and be able to work on their own initiative. Experience of working with young people with behavioural and emotional needs would be an advantage.
The Academy has recently been inspected by both SIAMS and OFSTED and received Good in both inspections. The Academy has a dynamic leadership team across both senior and middle leaders, and professional development opportunities for all our staff.
The posts are temporary pending the outcome of a review into the staffing structure requirements for September 2019.

About The Ilfracombe Academy
The Ilfracombe Academy is an 11-18 Church of England Academy located in the town of Ilfracombe, on a hill overlooking the sea. The school is a new build under the Priority School Building Programme and was completed in October 2017. There are currently approximately 1070 students on roll with 140 in the Sixth Form. The school role is rising due to demographic changes, and also to the fact that the school is becoming increasingly popular with parents and children as their first choice school.

The school has “grown” many of its leaders and is committed to offering all staff the opportunity to develop professionally. Staff value the wide range of CPD on offer.
