Contract: Full time, term time

If you really want to make your mark in a rapidly growing organisation that is committed to improving the lives of children and young people, we have the role for you!

As part of the NFA, a growing organisation which includes Acorn Care and Education, Belmont is one of our 19 schools and therefore, as an organisation there are plenty of opportunities and rewards for the ideal candidate. We are looking for a Thrive coordinator to join our team at Belmont School. This School is a ‘Good’ provision based in the Rossendale valley. We provide Education and support to boys aged 7-18 who have had problems in mainstream school. They exhibit social or emotional difficulties and may have mental health or communication difficulties with associated challenges.

The dedicated staff at Belmont take an active interest in the student’s lives and try and nurture an interest in education, which is tailored to each individual young person. We know each child well enough to be able to set ambitious, realistic targets and put in place a structure of support to ensure they achieve them. Our class sizes are small and we bring in a range of external therapists who can work on a one-to-one basis with our students as required.

About the role and who we are looking for?

We would like to grow our close knit team by hiring a friendly, approachable Thrive co- coordinator who is creative and resilient, in order to provide some of our students with the extra help and care they may need.

You will be expected to liaise with key stakeholders such as parents, teachers, social workers and other therapists in order to make sure each individual’s needs are met and supported. You will be creative in your approach and continuously adapt your methods to reach a wide range of needs.

Keeping paperwork and your training up to date, monitoring children’s progress and working collaboratively with other team members are some of the other requirements within this role. You will work full time, term time and have a salary of £16,000 per annum. This position expects you to work school hours with occasional extras to cover training and other responsibilities.

If this sounds like the ideal career opportunity for you, please apply now.

Acorn Care and Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be subject to a fully Enhanced DBS. We expect all our employees and volunteers to share this commitment and strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for everybody in our care. A full application form must be completed with all employment dates accurate and gaps in employment accounted for.
